I recently took a course in trading options and have placed a few contracts. I use Fidelity investments Active Trader Pro but would like to know if there are better platforms than this one and if the brokers are reputable with good support assistance. Thanks!

Bottom line: The platform will blow you away. At the Traders Expo in Las Vegas… every year they have a small booth & attrack lines of people leaving the other brokers (Fidelity, Schwab etc) looking on with little to do……………

I use OptionsXpress for trading options as they have some very nice tools for evaluating their worth.
Additionally their virtual trading is very strong so you can practice while you are learning to make trades.

From message boards I have read, ThinkOrSwim and OptionsXpress have the best reputation for helping new options traders.
InteractiveBrokers is popular with experienced higher volume traders. It has low rates but does not have a reputation for supplying new users with a lot of support.
